As a personal trainer, I have had experience coaching a variety of clients on a 1-2-1 basis. From my personal experience however, I find that once clients have a base level of knowledge, generally, they prefer to go at it alone and often perform better as long as they have someone pointing them in the right direction every so often.
This is why I have moved into online coaching.
Once you join Team JPT, you will have access to a variety of basic programmes as well as your macronutrient targets calculated. There will be a certain amount of work to do on your part. For instance, you will need to:
Input your date of birth
Your starting weight
Your anticipated activity levels
Your exercise goals (lose weight, gain mass etc)
Everything is done for you once I have those bits of data. From there, everything is managed via software called MyPTHub, which you will need to download. It is very similar to an app you may be familiar with called MyFitnessPal.
There are packages on there that you can move freely between. For instance, there are muscle growth packages, muscle strength packages and muscular endurance programmes.
It's worth noting that these programmes are basic. This is due to the fact that I find most people, especially these days, tend to find exercises from things such as social media. These influencers tend to make things more complicated than they need to be.
Master the basics first. Do the basics well and everything else will fall into place.
